A little about “My
When you visit the
My Information—By clicking on “My Information” you will find the page that updates everything you want included on the website about your family. Here is where you add family members, make address and telephone number changes, and where you can change your password.
Be sure to scroll clear to the bottom of the page (for those of you with big families, this will be a long scroll) and click on “save changes” before you leave the page.
Quick List—This will first require a trip to “Member Directory.” Basically what the Quick List does is give you the option to make your own mini-directory within the overall church directory. You can add families that you will likely contact more often—say the Kleemeiers, the Hovens, the Bocks, and the Kiburz family. These families will be listed in alphabetical order on your Quick List, saving you a few minutes of scrolling through the directory to get to their information.
To add people to your Quick List: click “Member Directory,” select a letter of the alphabet that matches a last name, when the list of names shows up—click in the empty white box in front of the family’s name (you can check several at the same time), then click the large, white rectangular box at the bottom of the page that says, “Add Checked Names to My Quick List.”
If you click the wrong name, go back to your “Quick List” page, check the name you want removed from your list, and then click “Remove it” beneath your list of contacts.
Once the families are listed on your quick list, you will see some names are in black and some are in blue. The blue names mean there is an email address associated with the person’s name. Depending on your email set up, you can just click on the blue names and be instantly typing a message to the person you selected.
