Using the Calendar

There are several ways to know what’s happening at WCC. One of the latest is our online calendar. You’ll find this by visiting www.wintersetcommunitychurch.org and clicking on “site calendar” (listed in the gray column on the left hand side of your screen, fourth tab down).

This will bring you to the “Calendar of Events.” Today’s date is highlighted in red. You can choose to view the calendar by the week or by the month.

On the bottom half of the screen you will see the list of all the events, Bible studies, and youth group meetings, etc. happening soon at WCC. You will see the date, day of the week, name of the event, the time, and the location. To make it a bit easier to find a special event, the full location name is typed out (for instance, Girls’ Night Out will be held at Winterset Community Church, whereas Sunday morning services are at WCC).

If you’d like a more detailed description of the event, click on the event name: for instance, on March 2nd WCC will host a movie night. Scroll down on the list of events to find “WCC Movie Night” and click right on these words. This will open a new screen that gives a full description of the event, time, and contact information.

Before you leave this page, note that for any special event, you can request a reminder email be sent directly to your inbox! Click on the “Remind me of this!” button toward the bottom of the page. A new screen will open up showing your name and email address. Here you decide how many days in advance you would like your reminder email to be sent, and at what time. Click “submit,” and you’re all set!

Back on the “Calendar of Events” main page: check out the box that says “Keyword Search.” Perhaps you’d like to know when Bible study will be held this month. Simply type in “Bible Study” and click “Go.” You’ll notice the bottom portion of your screen now only lists Bible study events and meeting times.

If you look closely at the small black print surrounding the calendar, these options are also listed there.

Just a quick look at a neat feature!
